There was something truly magical about Ruskin High School’s Fall 2024 production of Pippin — and the entire Kansas City arts community took notice. The Ruskin Theatre Department has earned an impressive eight Blue Star Nominations from Starlight Theatre, recognizing the exceptional talent, creativity, and dedication of the students and staff behind the show.

NFL Draft prospect Aireontae Ersery made a return to his roots, visiting his former teachers and mentors at Ruskin High School in south Kansas City. A standout offensive tackle out of the University of Minnesota, Ersery’s rising draft stock has caught attention.

On February 27, Ruskin High School’s Career Education Consortium (CEC) took center stage at the MECA Challenge at IDEA Space KC, showcasing their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork in an intense, real-world innovation competition.
